Perfect Post

This "Perfect Post" is actually the first of a series of nine posts. Ambergail is telling her story of abuse at the hands of her boyfriend in hopes of sparing her sister the same fate. Her story begins here, and continues through nine posts.

I was at once amazed, angry, shocked, sad at the thought of someone treating another human being this way. Especially someone he supposedly loved!

I cheered when a good friend
decked her abusive boyfriend, and again later when another boyfriend declared loudly and publicly to the abuser's current girlfriend that she "was with a woman beater, and stalker."

Ambergail was one of the lucky ones! She came out alive! When you read her story, you will wonder not only how she managed to survive, but survive and thrive! Her life now is good. She has a beautiful family and hope for a bright future!

For all of this, I believe this post to be a Perfect Post!

Wow, I don't know what to say. Perfect Post? Thank you. I wrote that series to the best of my ability, left out some details, but felt that I included the important ones. I was abused daily, that would have made for quite a lot of posts, had I tried to describe each day.

A friend from high school read the series. She works in a domestic violence shelter helping women get out of situations like mine. She suggested that I share my story with other women who need that little boost of confidence to leave. I am going to contact our local shelter to see what I need to do to become a volunteer. So good things are coming from sharing my story already.

Hopefully my sister will be able to save herself. She is in the on again off again phase with her abuser at this time.

Thanks again.

Great idea to volunteer yourself in this work! You have a lot to offer because you've been there, done that, and most important of all, you survived!!
